South Jodhpur Park Academy, founded in 2003 by renowned Rabindrasangeet exponent Shrimati Srabani Sen and Shrimati Subhra Mandal, disciple of Kathak legend Birju Maharaj as well as Shrimati Amala Shankar, doyen of Uday Shankar ‘Creative’ style of dance.
 

 


 

Once again, at the invitation of Tagore Society, Singapore, our organization performed ‘Nari’, at DBS Arts Centre, Singapore, on 8th May 2009, to celebrate ‘Womanhood’ (Nari) on the occasion of Rabindranath’s birth anniversary.

August 2006: A small room is taken on rent by SJPA on the outskirts of the city, namely, Kalitala, Joka, and classes start in full swing, every Saturday, teaching dance, music and drawing to 22 underprivileged students.
